Abstract

The technological development in cementation operations has rendered obsolete the conventional methods of bonding quality, so it is necessary to develop a technique that guarantees results that are close to reality. The technology described in this article combines the sonic method of interpretation and shows the reliability necessary to make the best decisions. The first chapter shows a general description of the cementation operations with an analysis of the mechanical properties in elastomeric systems and also shows the principle of physical performance of sonic and ultrasonic tools that evaluate the quality of bond. The second chapter consists of a brief manual of interpretation of conventional cementation logs and also shows the steps for the analysis of records with advanced processing. The third chapter consists of the analysis of results from the tools for 4 wells, of which 2 were cemented with conventional systems and the remaining with elastomeric systems in order to differentiate the acoustic behavior in each type and demonstrate the viability of the process Such as reliability of results; And the fourth chapter shows the conclusions and recommendations.
