Desarrollo de una aplicación de estructuras gramaticales por acciones para la enseñanza en el Instituto Fiscal de Discapacidad Motriz mediante experiencia de usuario

Abstract

The following integrative project was carried out in collaboration with therapists from the INSFIDIM motor disability fiscal institution. Since this institute has the majority of children with intellectual disabilities, the therapists shall help and give specialized classes to each child for their learning, in order to do it, they need costumed tools. The objective of this work is to develop a web and mobile application for teaching grammatical structures by actions. The methodology that was used for the development of the application was the user experience linked to the prototyping which allowed having three versions of the application, they were low, medium and high fidelity. In order to rate the quality and usability of the application, an evaluation to each prototype was made and in the final prototype the tools HEART from google were used. It allowed to measure the happiness and completed tasks. Also, the scale of classification of mobile applications for the health was used. The happiness surveys and completed tasks showed that the therapists welcomed the application very well, the use was made simple and adequate and they also showed acceptance to the specifications of the application. The scale of classification of mobile applications for health by its acronym in English MARS indicated on the application Acciones a score of 4 out of 5. It indicates that it is an adequate application to use and of high quality. The methodology of user experience and prototyping allowed us to create a successful, useful and simple application for users that meet their needs and it can be used for the education of children according to the criteria of happiness metrics and completed tasks of google HEART and of the MARS classification tool.
