Análisis de los servicios que pueden ofrecer las PYMES dedicadas a los proyectos de construcción de la ciudad de Quito al sector petrolero

Abstract

The present investigation has the purpose of analyzing the opportunities that PYMES in the Construction sector of the city of Quito in the oil field could have. Considering that PETROAMAZONAS is the largest oil operator in the country, it analyzes the main requirements that a company must meet in order to participate in the construction services required by PETROAMAZONAS EP. In order to fulfill the objective of the present investigation, it was necessary to determine the main construction services that are required by the state oil company and the main conditions that companies must meet in order to participate in the bidding contests conducted by PETRAOAMAZONAS. Based on the above mentioned, a significant sample of SMEs dedicated to the construction of residential buildings and non-residential buildings was investigated. The results of this study on the one hand contribute to the SMEs of construction of residential and non-residential buildings analyzing both, their opportunities and their common limitations among them with respect to the main conditions they must meet. In this way that establish their own opportunities for improves and, if possible, in an organized way, to manage that the conditions that they consider drastic, such as not having an advance payment and the payment method over 30 days, are analyzed by the state oil company in order to allow greater competitors to enter this sector. On the other hand, the results of this research could provide feedback to PETROAMAZONAS EP by having the analysis of responses from SMEs in terms of the main conditions required by the state oil company and in determining the main construction items required in the oil facilities that they can be made by construction SMEs.
