Desarrollo de una aplicación para la gestión de los procesos de hibridación y selección de las rosas

Abstract

In this project, prior to obtaining the title of Technologist in Computer Systems Analysis, it is proposed to develop a web application for entering and analyzing the information of the processes of hybridization and selection of roses, and a hybrid mobile application for making of field data for the company International Rose Breeders LLC (IRB).

IRB is a company that obtains roses, dedicated to the hybridization and selection of roses for Ecuador and the world. Annually, IRB analyzes approximately 20,000 codes between itself and those sent from the hybridization programs in the Netherlands, so it is important to have the information stored in an orderly manner. In addition, the information is also obtained in the field in notebooks and then taken to a computer, causing lost information and time.

The development process is described in this document, divided into 3 sections. The introduction, objectives and scope are detailed in the first section. In addition, the SCRUM methodology, its implementation in this work and the development tools used are also described. Section 2 describes the current process of the IRB company, the design and development of the system. It also details the work done in each of the sprints used and their respective tests. Section 3 describes the conclusions according to the objectives set out in the work, as well as the recommendations for future versions of the system.
