Resumen: the main stresses and the mechanical properties of the rocks of a horizontal and directional well in a Field X of Eastern Ecuador, for which the results obtained in the analysis wells show that a 1-D geomechanically model serves to the characterization of the reservoir in drilling operations, with the main objective of finding the optimal mud weight for each formation. The titling work begins with the collection of information to carry out a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the wells, the qualitative analysis is mainly related to the records of Gamma Ray, Density and PEF and thus obtain the caps and bases of the formations, in the proposed methodology continues with the quantitative part and is related to the Density and Sonic records, calculating the maximum horizontal stresses (Shmax) and the minimum horizontal stress (Shmin) that are important to avoid NPT (non-productive times) since with these values the average mud weight for the formations of interest is obtained. The use of these well logs helped to calculate the mechanical properties of the rocks (shear modulus, Bulk, Young, volumetric compressibility, resistance to uniaxial tension) in the different formations to obtain the Circle of Mohr, as well as the main efforts for which s e used different specific correlations for each formation taking into account parameters such as geological age, density of the formation and transit time.
