Resumen: El presente proyecto de titulación desarrolla una herramienta de Análisis Forense Digital para el navegador web Mozilla Firefox 3. El proyecto utiliza software libre y el objetivo principal es proporcionar una herramienta fácil de utilizar, amigable con el usuario y que centralice la recolección de información. En el primer capítulo se realiza el estudio teórico de los principales conceptos y fundamentos del análisis forense digital. Para esto se utilizará como guía la información documentada en el RFC 3227. En el segundo capítulo se especifican los requerimientos de la herramienta utilizando para ello el estándar IEEE/830. En este capítulo se detalla la división en componentes que se utilizará en el resto del proyecto. El tercer capítulo contiene la información del diseño de los diferentes componentes de la herramienta. Para el diseño de todos los componentes se utiliza UML (Lenguaje Unificado de Modelado - Unified Modeling Language). En el cuarto capítulo se detalla la construcción del prototipo en base al diseño descrito y se documentan las pruebas de funcionalidad y seguridad realizadas. Finalmente, el quinto capítulo contiene las conclusiones y recomendaciones del proyecto. Las conclusiones abarcan los resultados observados en todo el proyecto y las recomendaciones tienen por objetivo indicar las nuevas funcionalidades que pueden ser agregadas a la herramienta.
