Identificación de intereses turísticos basado en la data de desplazamiento de turistas: aplicación móvil de seguimiento en base a GPS.

Abstract

The present work offers another way to identify user's tourism interests. User interests are determined by analyzing the user's information, generated each time the user moves around while visiting cities or places of tourist interest. As the user moves around, places of interest or points of interest (POI's) are identified through geopositioning (latitude and longitude) of the GPS (Global Positioning System) of the user's mobile device. The generated geolocated information is stored in a cloud repository. In order to identify mobility patterns that will serve for the identification of interests, using the Google Maps API, a mapping of tourist sites in the cities visited by the tourist was performed. The retrieved data was stored and then processed using a pattern identification algorithm on the dataset. The algorithm generated a "visit history" with the chosen tourist sites; each tourist site must credit a Score and average of interest relative to each category, which is calculated from the validation and comparison of the tourist site with the tourist sites previously registered in the database, as long as they are in the parameterized radius by category. Finally, a service was generated to send the identified interests to a system generated in another degree work, developed to display tourist recommendations associated with the interests of the user or tourist. The system that collects our generated service had to be modified to work from HTTP services received. Additionally, we offer the possibility of choosing POI's of additional interest. With this the user-tourist can verify if we have correctly identified his interests shown in a screen by categories.
