Abstract

The growing evolution of technology has generated an expansion in different types of business; one of them is health. However, not all businesses are benefiting, in this case, small and medium-sized companies. The objective of this integrative project was to develop a medica history and results from the management system for the EXMEDS clinical laboratory. An evaluation of the technology to generate the medical history, generation, and delivery of exams was made. In the current work, the agile SCRUM methodology was used, four Sprints were carried out. Also, free software tools were used. For the development of the main interfaces, the end-user was together with the software development team. In this way, a web system was created, adapted to the needs of the business and the clinical laboratory personnel. Different evaluations were made, which determined compliance with the usability and accessibility standards necessary for quality software. Technological support in health services increases the efficiency of medical services and, in fact, yields revenues by increasing patients and growing the business.
