Abstract

This project consists of an investigation, where the characteristics of mesh technology and the different devices that exist in the market are evidenced. A comparative analysis is carried out in order to select the equipment that best suits the requirements to improve the Wi-Fi coverage in the house. This document consists of seven parts. The first section describes the project implementation; it also includes the objectives, scope of the project and investigation regarding mesh technology, where the characteristics and operation are described. The second part describes the methodology used to implement the objectives. The results are included in the third part, where the investigation of the different devices existing in the market and their characteristics are included; then, the actual functioning of the network is presented. Next, the devices to be implemented are defined, for which a comparison of the devices from different distributors was made; also, a simulation of the network to be implemented; then, the implementation of the nodes based on the simulation carried out made. Finally, the functional tests are carried out to observe the connectivity improvements after the implementation. In the fourth and fifth parts are the conclusions and recommendations. The sixth section corresponds to the bibliography on which the investigation was based. Finally, the annexes include the Turnitin certificate and the video of the implementation.
