Implementación de un plan de emergencia en la estación de servicio Petrocomercial Ponceano

Abstract

The development of the present fire emergency plan was carried out at the Petrocomercial Ponceano service station of EP PETROECUADOR, for the compliment with applicable regulations, reducing risks and improve the occupational safety and health conditions of workers. In the tour of the installtion, the checklist of the Fire Department of the Metropolitan District of Quito and of the station was applied, in which evidence was found, who made possible to implement the measures of prevention and control in the station, The risk assessment was also carried out using the Meseri method, it was determined the type of construction, situation, location, propagability and destructibility were determined and the risk was assessed qualitative and quantitatively. Subsequently the risk map was elaborated, personnel were trained in fire extinguisher management, use of hoses, Following this methodology emergency situations were established at the station, whom were evaluated and mandatory controls were applied to avoid, eliminate and monitor the Identified risk factors. Brigades were formed with roles and responsibilities of each officer; besides, action plans according to the emergency, which include the media, emergency number of internal staff and external support entities.
