Violencia de género en los espacios virtuales en los estudiantes de pregrado de la Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the perceptions and experiences of the undergraduate students of the FCA of the EPN associated with gender violence in the virtual space. To measure perceptions and experiences, the V.G. 2.0. The questionnaire was applied to 202 students. The study was quantitative, of the descriptive-correlational type. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics were applied, together with the Pearson distribution test and the contingency coefficient to measure the level of intensity of the relationship between the variables. Likewise, in relation to demographic data, it was shown that there is no significant difference between age, gender, sexual preference and religion when perceiving violence in the virtual space as well as in experiences, however, in experience, if there is significant difference between people who can suffer violence due to physical, ideological and cultural origin. This study can be a basis for applying the concept and methodology for future research, as well as a source of information for educational institutions to generate public policies to guarantee quality education in a society of continuous transformation.
