Identificación de percepciones de los campesinos sobre los beneficios y limitaciones del proyecto PIDAASSE

Abstract

The objective of this qualification work is to identify the perceptions that peasants have about the benefits and limitations of the Comprehensive Project for Sustainable Agricultural, Environmental and Social Development (PIDAASSE) in the province of Santa Elena. As it is a pilot project and focused on the agricultural sector of a province, it was considered important to analyze the result of this to know the impact it had on its beneficiaries. The research carried out had a qualitative and quantitative approach, surveys and interviews were obtained from the beneficiaries of the PIDAASSE project, which were applied in the selected Community Banks of the province of Santa Elena. Regarding the results, it was identified that the PIDAASSE project had a focus on the improvement and modernization of agricultural processes, that is, it contributed to production, using the economic funds allocated to it through the Community Banks. However, the beneficiaries were able to appreciate that one of the main limitations of the project was marketing, where they encountered a significant barrier in the sale price of their products, which was an important factor so that a better perception of it cannot be obtained.
