Abstract

Currently, the growing technological progress has allowed the development of software tools that facilitate the management of large volumes of data and their subsequent storage in Database Management Systems, facilitating access to this information in an organized manner. Taking advantage of each of the benefits of these technological tools, we have developed a Web system for managing medical records, taking as a case study a private practice of general medicine, which allows managing information of medical records, medical appointments, patient data, physician data and information of the processes of the office digitally. Thus, solving the unnecessary use of paper and facilitating the management of information through technology. This technical report contains four sections divided as follows: in section one, the problem, objectives and scope. In section two, the methodology used, the development tools and the prototype design. In section three, the results obtained in each sprint are presented. And finally, in section four, the conclusions and recommendations obtained throughout the development of this degree project.
