Abstract

The present degree project is about the implementation of a physical network based on the optical fiber to home (FTTH) gigabit-capable passive optical network technology home (GPON) in the Pucará neighborhood, located in Pastocalle parish, for JAKFIBER Company. Currently there is a lack of accessibility to an Internet service with a considerable bandwidth, in the rural areas it a common trouble, for this reason demand increases in telecommunication services with high levels of efficiency. This document begins with an introduction that contains information about the fiber optic technology development, also the different access networks with fiber optical. Moreover, technical aspects regarding active and passive elements in an optical network are analyzed, in general terms. Types of fibers, which constitutes the basis for the understanding of certain terms of the project. Into the methodology, is present the process that was carried out in the in execution of the project, they were form experimental and qualitative based on standard G.984.x. Into the results and Discussion part, the results of the surveys are analyzed so too the design and diagram of FTTH network for its implementation. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are determined in process’s project, also the bibliographic references that allow validation of the theoretical framework.
