Abstract

The project has a purpose to implement a prototype that includes online radio, video streaming and video on demand, the services were integrated into a website for playing the media content easily and global access. In the first chapter, the theoretical development concepts involved in the implementation of the prototype and transmission of multimedia content over IP are developed. These topics include the explanation of streaming technology, similar technologies that simulate its operation, stages, types of servers, compression methods. and transmission protocols. In the second chapter, the software and hardware required by the server and the client are described, the characteristics and processes carried out on online servers used for each description of one of the systems, in addition, the regulation that would be applied at the national level for the streaming media over the internet. Finally, tests of the operation of each of the systems are carried out from the web page, in addition, the network performance for this type of communication is also exposed and for validation of the usefulness of the implementation of this type of projects at present.
