Diagnóstico y perspectivas de la implementación de IPv6 en el Ecuador.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the diagnosis of the use of IPv6 today and determine the prospects for its implementation in Ecuador, using information obtained from surveys of technical professionals who work in ISP with greater participation in the national market and, therefore, have the truthful information required to obtain the closest results to reality. Once the data is obtained, the information from all the surveys is filtered and subsequently entered into the data matrix to obtain percentages of the variables of interest and thus carry out the relevant comparisons between the different ISP. Subsequently, the graphs corresponding to each question are made and the different conclusions of each of them are obtained, so that it is possible to determine the degree of IPv6 penetration in the ISPs of Ecuador, what were the difficulties that arise to deploy it, what techniques are the most used for its transition, as well as determining if the equipment has support for said protocol and to what extent it affects the regulations in the country for its optimal deployment.
