Abstract

The project proposed the development of a prototype of a one-time password (OTP) system for a two-factor authentication (2FA) system. This component focused on the development of the one-time password system, represented by a mobile application prototype for the iOS operating system. Chapter 1 describes the analysis performed on the background of the emergence of OTPs, their classification, and the different solutions proposed over the years. Additionally, it presents the objectives to be achieved in the development of the present project through the proposed methodologies. Chapter 2 presents the development methodology used, which was Scrum. It details the process used to carry out the design, development, and implementation of the functional prototype, as well as the explanation and definition of the two usability analysis methods used: Nielsen heuristics and SUS. Chapter 3 describes the results obtained from the usability testing performed on the mobile prototype. Additionally, it presents the conclusions and recommendations of this work.
