Abstract

DevOps enables the secure, fast, continuous, and reliable delivery of software, contributing to the scalability of networking services with the use of three key pillars: automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. In this context, the present degree work is structured in four sections that provide information on the implementation and management of web hosting control panel software. The first section of the paper complements the information provided in the theoretical framework on DevOps, Docker, web hosting and web hosting control panel software. Based on the information presented in the first section, guidelines will be established for the elaboration of the container based on the development of the control panel image, Webmin. The process will consider the operating system on which the new image will be based and all the dependencies that need to be implemented to ensure its construction and deployment. In the third section of the document, the previously established guidelines will be developed, and with it the application environment and implementation of instructions consistent with the operating system and the structure of the image created in Dockerfile to run the software will be detailed. Finally, in the final section of the document, the software (Webmin) and its respective configuration for accessing the platform through the browser will be tested. In case of failures, a solution will be sought to solve the problem to obtain the expected result.
