Abstract

The first section presents the introduction of this project, the objectives to be achieved are presented, developing at the same time, important concepts that allow the proper understanding of the project from its implementation to its operation.The second section presents the methodology used to achieve each of the objectives, detailing the processes carried out in the implementation of the network monitoring system through the use of NEMS Nagios software.The results obtained are presented in the third section, emphasizing the software and hardware selection processes starting from the necessary requirements for the prototype, the configurations made in the NEMS server to start monitoring the network devices are shown, highlighting the correct installation of the monitoring software on the Raspberry Pi device, also the performance tests of the implemented prototype are presented in order to demonstrate compliance with the respective records. The fourth section presents the conclusions in accordance with the results obtained from the fulfillment of each of the stated objectives; the recommendations are found in the fifth section of the document, an important section because it will contribute with the necessary knowledge for those who seek to replicate or improve the developed prototype.The last two sections contain the bibliographical references consulted for the development of the project, as well as the corresponding annexes as appropriate, whether they are documents or links to relevant information.
