Diagnóstico de la aplicación de la vigilancia tecnológica en las pymes manufactureras de Quito

Abstract

The present research was carried out with the objective of diagnosing whether the manufacturing smes of Quito made technological vigilance or not. In addition to analyce if the activities of technology vigilance and competitive intelligence that may perform the manufacturing smes is focused on the development of innovation or not. The main issue was identified by the low percentage of innovations performed in our country, therefore the importance of establishing technology vigilance and competitive intelligence´s process to increase the development of innovations in smes of manufacturing. Two types of research were made a documentary and a quantitative study. For the documentary research was used information generated by the Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Cencos (INEC) together with Secretaría Nacional de Planificación y Desarrollo (SEMPLADES), on the information about innovation activities carried out in Ecuador. In addition, a quantitative study was made, through the application of a survey targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises in the city of Quito, to obtain information according to a reference period from July 2017 to December 2017.
