Estudio sobre la toma de decisiones en las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas del Sector Maderero localizadas en la ciudad de Quito

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is the identification of the decision style of the managers of small and medium-sized timber companies located in the city of Quito; to achieve a true result, it has been necessary to go to the GDMS psychometric tool (General Making Decision Style), by virtue of the theoretical, psychological and mathematical foundations on which this resource is built and that empowers its application in the persons designated for the decision-making process. The questions that make up the GDMS tool are raised around five decision styles: rational, dependent, avoidant, intuitive and spontaneous, in addition, the answer that managers provide is recorded on a Likert scale, facilitating the processing of data and shortening the time required to complete the questionnaire. The methodology during the results stage, requires the validation of the data through the mathematical coefficient Alpha de Cronbach, then, with the help of computer mechanisms it was possible to define that: the dominant styles for decision-making corresponding to the individuals of the present Research are rational and dependent style; as a result of this research effort, new information of primary type was obtained, born from the management and analysis of graphs, adding value to the various topics discussed in this document
