Abstract

This study focused on analyzing the impact that personal problems and family support have on the performance of Ecuadorian businesses, particularly within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. To do this, it was tested whether the personal problems of entrepreneurs have a negative effect on the performance of their business; Family support for the entrepreneur has a positive or negative effect on the performance of their business, through a survey of business owners in the country whit different questions related to their personal, emotional, family and work life, for which a binary logistic regression model due to the nature of the dependent variable were chosen. Thus, it was confirmed that the family does have a negative impact on the development of the business.
