Desarrollo de una pwa para la gestión de couriers motorizados para microempresas de Quito.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic had a negative effect on several of the micro-businesses in some parts of Quito, which had to opt for other mechanisms so as not to lose their sales and customers, most of these micro-businesses had the need to make home deliveries as a viable solution to the crisis of the pandemic.

In this project, by means of a survey and initial analysis of the current situation of micro-enterprises in the city of Quito, it allows determining the necessary requirements for the implementation of a system that allows the streamlining of the internal logistics of micro-enterprises. Next, a PWA (Progressive Web Application) is developed for the implementation of a courier management system for micro-businesses. Through the use of the agile SCRUM methodology, a better organization was obtained in the project and also allowed to make value deliveries for each sprint. Similarly, external frameworks and libraries were used such as Angular, Git, Jira, Lighthouse, Karma, Jasmine, etc., which facilitated the development of the application, achieving each of the objectives.

Finally, unit and usability tests are carried out. These tests met the expected objectives. In the usability test, a survey was conducted with end users, obtaining a 91.17% usability of the application, based on which, it can be concluded that the system can streamline and facilitate the internal processes of distribution of shipments and home deliveries
