Implementación de las normas de un sistema de cableado estructurado en el área de oficinas 2 de la ESFOT.

Abstract

The first step for a structured cabling system (SCS) to fulfill the current normative is necessary to analyze the present state of the installation and with this information gathered, it will be established which elements are being used and which elements need a change. Also it is important to know which regulations are not being applied and so to be able to correct these regulations. Executing this will ensure that at the moment of the certification all the networking points will comply with all the requirements in such a way that the structured cabling work in proper conditions. In this way, firstly a survey of the cabling structure was carried out in the office area number 2 of the ESFOT. With this information It was determined that the installation was not complete and did not meet the current standards for a suitable SCS. Therefore, several improvements were made in both, the way of placing the cabling with their respective gutter and replacing the twisted pair cable where it was necessary. Netx the elements used were verified to make sure they had the same category and in this project was a category 6. Later the type of labels in the elements was modified as in patch panel, patch cords and face plate in each network point. Once the cabling structure was improved, some certifications were carried out. Numerous certifications were made of some parameters about the cabling structure to ensure the network connection in the offices meets the personal requirements. This will provide teachers an adequate long-term work.
