Abstract

The automation of the degree process will make it possible to carry out the different activities in a more agile way, reducing time and unnecessary costs by doing things manually, increasing the speed of execution and allowing the continuous monitoring of each of the activities and direct communication between those involved in the process, providing as an advantage the decentralization since it currently depends heavily on the ESFOT's secretary. With the system it will be possible for some procedures of the process to be carried out by each student, by the professors or by the degree plan commission without the need for intervention from the secretary's office. Similarly, the reduction of waste of resources will be noticeable by not having to submit several documents on paper or on CD, since they can be uploaded to the web platform automatically, reducing costs for students and eliminating the use of unnecessary materials that at the same time will contribute to the care of the environment, its digital record and therefore the construction of archives with historical digital documents. The proposed system focuses on the steps of the process that depend on the personnel directly related to the ESFOT, that is, it does not intend to automate the steps where external departments such as the general secretary's office, library, bookstore, etc.In addition, the system will allow the ESFOT to have greater control and monitoring of its students' degree process. The main advantage in the development of this type of system is the separation of server and client technologies, allowing several clients with different technologies to consume the same API data without having to modify the system architecture.
