Abstract

The Bachelor's Thesis documents the Redesign of the Conceptual Architecture of Smart Cities in accordance with the standards of the Spanish Association UNE 178104, 178108, and 178109, serving as a model for cities aiming to advance towards a Smart City. Initially, it describes the issues and argues the need to update the conceptual architecture according to the mentioned Spanish regulations. Furthermore, it reviews the methodology and the conceptual architecture from a traditional city to a smart city, analyzing and comparing the standardized conceptual architecture with the conceptual architecture in the 'Methodological Proposal for the Migration from a Traditional City to a Smart City.' Subsequently, it identifies and adds missing services to the 'Conceptual Architecture Design' in the 'Methodological Proposal for the Migration from a Traditional City to a Smart City.' Consequently, the Redesign of a Conceptual Architecture of Smart City according to the mentioned standards is obtained. The current state of the city of Quito is evaluated using this redesign to identify and suggest the necessary services for its transformation into a smart city. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations derived from the development process of this project, as well as the recommendations aimed at promoting the effective implementation of a Smart City, are presented
