Abstract: The investigation begins from a bibliographic review including: geophysical data, cartography, and the interpretation of the physiochemical water data obtained through laboratory analysis to determine the type and quality of water, correlations and analysis of the results allow integrating all the variables in a final Lithopermeability model. A meteorological study was realized including pluviometric regime, thermal regime and the determination of the water balance of Cutuchi River Sub-Basin, also covering the Cunchibamba aquifer. Besides a geological analysis in order to explain the origin of the aquifer; it is appropriate to mention the systematic review of the geomorphology, tectonics and stratigraphy of the study area. For the characterization of the different hydrogeological units through permeability levels, an inventory of water points is included as well as information of two perforations by EMAPA and vertical electric soundings. Through the application of GODS and AVI vulnerability indexes was determineted with the first method a very low vulnerability of the aquifer, while the second method shows three vulnerability ranges: extremely high, very high and extremely low. Therefore, according the vulnerability indexes, it is suggested to protect the water quality of the aquifer.
