Evaluación de calidad de sofware: accesibilidad web de sitios de gobierno del Ecuador

Abstract

Nowadays, it is very important that all websites are accessible to all types of users, not only people with some type of disability, because users who are not familiar with the use of web pages often find it difficult the understanding of certain sites. This is even more important in the sites that have been analyzed in this study, which are public and provide services to citizens, where the issue of inclusion must be more deeply rooted. When creating a website, it is recommended to take into account the WCAG accessibility guidelines. The evaluation methodology carried out in this work is the Web Accessibility Assessment (WCAG-EM, for its acronym in English). The WCAG-EM methodology allows to determine if the contents evaluated comply with the WCAG accessibility guidelines. The automated assessment tools used in this study were TAW, eXaminator, WAVE and AChecker. In this study, 35 government website were analysed. In all of them, accessibility issues were found.
